Cluster Utilization

The monthly maintenance window for the Palmetto cluster has been established as the first Tuesday of each month from 9:00am to 12:00noon

The entire cluster may be unavailable at this time. Although we can and do perform most maintenance tasks without user disruption, there are occasions when we need to do updates that require all nodes to be updated and rebooted at the same time. If we do need to perform a system-wide update, jobs that are running on the cluster at the start of the maintenance window will be stopped and removed from the queue. Please make sure you are checkpointing your work.

Emergency system-wide maintenance that needs to occur outside of the maintenance window will be announced in advance if possible.
