Finding usage information

There are several reasons why you might want to know about palmetto usage. First, when you are preparing to submit some jobs, it is helpful to know how busy the machine typically is and how busy it is now. These historical and real-time statistics can be found at Palmetto Usage Stats, which can be further broken down as

• CPUs in Use
• Jobs Running
• Jobs Queued

Note that you must be logged into your Clemson account in order to view this information.

Secondly, you will want to see your specific usage over the course of your work in order to track your remaining allocation. The allocation committee is still being formed and allocation policy is still be defined. When that is complete, you will find more information on tracking your allocation here.
