Getting an account
All members of the Clemson community are eligible to use CITI's High Performance Computing Clusters
CITI's HPC resources are for use by the entire Clemson community; there is no charge to use these computational facilities. Users who invest towards building out the cluster's computational cycles and storage earn priority use of the cluster.
Requests for small amounts of time are approved administratively. Larger allocations will be approved by a faculty committee. A cluster allocation policy is being developed and we will add a link to it here in the future.
Students requesting an account on palmetto are asked to include their faculty advisors name and a brief description of the planned palmetto usage.
How to Request an Account
To request an account, simply:
- If you are not already logged in, using the tab above, log in to our website with your Clemson user id and password. (Note: This is required to see the information referenced below.)
- Review the HPC Allocation Policy.
- Fill out the HPC Allocation Request Form.
- If you are prompted to select a certificate, simply select the [Cancel] button
Small requests can be granted administratively by the Chief Technology Officer or his/her designated representative. Larger allocations are reviewed by the Computational Advisory Team (CAT).
